Thank you so much for doing this. I took lessons as a child, but that ended when my family moved to a rural area with no piano teachers anywhere near. This was way before the internet, so that was that. I recently decided to give piano a try as an adult, got myself a keyboard, and both the Thompson and Alfred courses for adults, and here I am, hooked on your videos and finding such joy, just through the learning process. Your selfless work is appreciated beyond measure.

This is a very different piece, and it was interesting watching the lady with the golden birds on her shoulders singing this. I can see why you don't remember it, your teacher probably skipped it. Im asked this for an audition : scales will be followed by either an arpeggio, a Dominant 7th arpeggio built on the 5th degree of the scale, or a Diminished 7th arpeggio built on the 7th degree of the scale, and will resolve to the tonic. I know when to use the Dominant 5th degree chord but when should the diminished 7th be used on harmony? Thanks.

Quick question. Why does it matter to be in G Major? I man, it's no F anywhere so wouldn't it be the same to be in C Major signature?

Today I want to start a new piece (not from Alfred's) written in F Minor, so you are teaching me the A Flat Major and F Minor scales. V7 sounds better if 3rd is moved up an octave because soprano takes leading tone that resolves upward

On page 45, bar 3, 4 and 5, it seems you suggest not to play the A note and just gives the a rest. Can you explain the reason behind?
